North Wales Junior League - Wrexham 26th July 2008

North Wales Junior League.
9 young athletes represented Colwyn Bay Athletics Club in the North Wales Junior League on Saturday July 26th at Wrexham.
Jack MacDonald gained 3 PB’s coming in 2nd in the 80m hurdles(13.8s) and 3rd in L.J.(5.29m) and 400m (59.9s). Nia Roberts also gained 2 PB’s coming 2nd in 100m (13.8) and 4th in 200m (28.8).
Making a very impressive debut for Colwyn Bay were Abi Backstall and Tom Doig. Abi came 3rd in 100m (14s) and L.J.(4.09m) as well as 4th in 200m(30s). Tom came 5th in 400m(66.3) and 80m hurdles (17.4) and 7th in 200m (30s).
Toby Haley came 1st in Discus (16.23) whilst Oliver Myatt, Luke Jones, Jack Hoult and Ben Hoult gained a host of 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in 100m, 200m, 800m, L.J. and H.J.
This small team gained enough points to qualify for the Plate Final at Neath on 23rd August.
